On January 29th, 2024, the California senate voted unanimously to pass Senate Bill 764, also known as the Child Content Creator Rights Act. It now moves to the Assembly for consideration.

This bill would ensure content creators under the age of 18 earn “fair financial benefits from the use of their image.” The bill includes financial compensation for child creators, children of influencers who are featured in online content, and those featured in family vlogs.
